Major Finance Operation on Procurement and Corruption: 28 People Under Investigation, 5 Companies and 5 Municipalities Involved.
It is a vast operation, the one that started this morning at dawn and conducted by the Guardia di Finanza of Piedimonte Matese together with the Tax Police unit of Caserta. There are 28 people involved in the investigation: they are municipal technicians, professionals and well-known entrepreneurs who operate in public procurement. According to the accusation brought by the Public Prosecutor's Office, they would have formed a criminal association to carry out bid-rigging and corruption in public procurement. There are 5 companies involved in the investigation; 5 municipal entities involved.
The companies involved in the investigation are Casertana Costruzioni, Ubi Maior, Green Impresit, Italia Impresit, CR Appalti e Costruzioni, all based in Caserta and some with operational headquarters in Casal di Principe.
The municipalities involved in the investigation are: Dragoni, Alvignano, Vairano Patenora, Montaquila (in the province of Isernia), San Martino Sannita (in the province of Avellino). The municipality of Piedimonte Matese is also involved but limited to the office occupied by one of the technicians involved in the investigation.
