Music enters the penitentiaries, today concert in Bellizzi Irpino. Ciambriello: “Possibility to also reflect on the relationship with others.”
A concert promoted by the Campania guarantor of the rights of people subjected to restrictive measures of personal freedom is scheduled for today at 10 in the Bellizzi Irpino prison, in Avellino.
The neomelodic Michele Nasti and Marika Tarascio will perform, bringing songs from their repertoire. The event, which is part of the 'Musical July' initiative, organized by the Campania guarantor Samuele Ciambriello, adds to shows already held in other penal institutions in Campania.
Other performances are scheduled in the coming days in the prisons of Fuorni, Salerno, Secondigliano and Aversa.
“I thought of bringing music into prisons, thanks to the availability of various artists in our area, because – explains Ciambriello – I think it is important for prisoners to have moments of leisure, of relaxation. Music regenerates, creates emotion and represents an opportunity to reflect not only on oneself, but also on the relationship with others. Music is beauty and even those who live the deprivation of personal freedom have the right to remember that beauty exists for them too”.
