The police caught up with the man with the backpack near Porta Nolana, who, at the sight of them, put up a strong resistance but, not without difficulty and after a fight, he was stopped and found in possession of 21 smartphones and 650 euros, the provenance of which he was unable to explain, while the other fugitive disappeared without a trace.
The man, a 24-year-old from Mali with a police record and an illegal immigrant on the national territory, was arrested by the PG because he was seriously suspected of assault, resisting a public official and receiving stolen goods, and was also reported for illegal entry and residence in the territory of the State.
