Napoli. Yesterday afternoon the police officers of the Police Station Poggioreale and San Giovanni- Barra and the Carabinieri of the Chiaia Station, during the public order service on the occasion of the “Bufala Fest” event, were approached near the Rotonda Diaz by two French tourists who said that, shortly before, they had been victims of theft.

At that moment, three people approached and started to get angry, inveighing against the two tourists, complaining that they had been unfairly accused of having committed the theft.

The police officers attempted to calm the three who, with pushes and punches, attacked them until they fled after one of them also threatened one of the operators with a bottleneck; a short chase ensued but, not without difficulty and after a fight, they were reached and blocked.

OG, IB, and MM, Gambians between the ages of 28 and 44 with a police record and irregular immigration status, were arrested for aggravated assault, violence and resisting a public official and reported for illegal entry and residence in the country.
