Naples. Accused of receiving stolen gold and precious items purchased with false documents and from many people living in the Vele di Scampia: three jewelers were placed under house arrest.
the 1st Metropolitan Operational Unit of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples, following a complex investigation coordinated by the Neapolitan Public Prosecutor's Office, has carried out in the capital, between the districts Pendino, Montecalvario and Avvocata, a custody order (arrest) issued by the GIP at the Court of Naples against three individuals accused of receiving stolen gold and other valuables.
At the same time, searches were carried out at various economic activities attributable to the perpetrators and operating in the gold trading sector, registered under their front names.

The investigations started from the analysis of reports for financial transactions suspicious, the investigation of which led to the consequent start of inspection activities against a sole proprietorship operating in the gold trading sector.
Thanks to the feedback provided to customers (around a hundred), it was possible to ascertain the use of identification documents of unaware people or conniving in order to certify thepurchase of large quantities of gold by the same company.
The three individuals affected by the precautionary measure have also been linked to the conduct of receiving money, gold and other valuables, also purchased at the “Vele” in Scampia, as well as other Neapolitan retailers operating in the specific sector.
