These are the objectives that the piano di strengthening of the infrastructure presented today at the headquarters of the Common di Napoli and illustrated by the CEO of Tangenziale, Luigi MassaThe program includes a complete regeneration of the stretch, in line with the changing needs of the mobility sectors and in step with the development of city and territorio. The plan, worth over 150 million euro, will affect the main infrastructures of the route which for 20,2 kilometers crosses the metropolitan area of Napoli connecting it through its 14 junctions and that almost counts 240 thousand transits average daily it's about 87 million of transits every year. The jobs, for which they will be employed on average every day 160 men e 50 means, will be made for the 70 percent at night to limit the impact on traffic and the completion is estimated in 3-4 years "at most".
Starting from the month of July the construction sites at the viaducts will become operational San Antonio Arena, Cilea e Holy Face and at the end of the works on the viaducts, full transitability will be restored also for vehicles weighing more than 7,5 tons and the infrastructures will be adapted to the new anti-seismic standards. At the same time, the modernization and strengthening of the safety systems inside the tunnels will be started Capodimonte, Vomero, Monte Sant'Angelo, and Solfatara, in line with the provisions of the most recent guidelines introduced by the Ministry.
The plan is the product of two years of studi conducted in collaboration with theFederico II University and with the support of the most qualified researchers in the sector who contributed to carrying out an in-depth analysis of the infrastructure with particular attention to its works. The study was the basis for starting the design phase.
“With this plan, Tangenziale's commitment to serving the city and the metropolitan area is renewed – said thead di tangential - to adapt the infrastructure to the most modern technologies and regulations. This initiative, in line with the indications of the Ministry of Infrastructure, is in tune with the large industrial plan implemented by the Autostrade per l'Italia Group which looks to more modern, more tech, more sustainable infrastructure with a vast modernization program across the national territory".
Among the many interventions planned are the strengthening with infrastructure (viaducts, tunnels, safety barriers and pavement regeneration); the implementation of the technological system Argon for infrastructure monitoring, developed by Moving on, technological spin-off of the Motorway Group for the 'Italy and, among other innovations, the installation of a new fiber optic network, new security systems and a new grazing lighting system that allows for energy savings of 15 percent while increasing safety and improving visibility.
In the perspective green, the construction of is planned two electric charging stations high capacity in service areas Ancient East Bell e Doganella edited by Free To X, a company of the Autostrade per l'Italia Group. The construction of new green areas adjacent to the motorway network and the installation of photovoltaic systems in the stations of Capodichino, Arenella e Astroni. The reforestation work on all the areas adjacent to the stretch has already been completed, which has allowed for the conversion of approximately 5,6 hectares of land, ensuring an annual absorption of Co2 equal to 26,432 tons. As regards the usability of the network, there is the evolution of toll payment systems which, thanks to the digitalization of the toll collection process, allows a reduction in waiting times at the toll booths. A plan therefore gives the go-ahead to the evolution in terms of smart road of tangential and which includes the positioning of a new fibre optic network that will support subsequent technological developments along the stretch.
