He had 1.5 quintals of contraband cigarettes hidden in his closet: 65-year-old arrested by the Carabinieri in Pianura.

145 kilos of cigarettes, of various brands. Louis Marigliano hid the cargo in his apartment in Pianura. The Carabinieri of the local station arrested him for tobacco smuggling. When they knocked on his door he hoped that the militar they didn't search the bedroom.

Unfortunately for him, the search did not spare any room. And the doors of the two large closets were thrown open. Inside were several cardboard packages containing foreign and Italian brands of lager, all without the state monopolies' seals. Marigliano ended up under house arrest, awaiting trial.
