On July 18, 2022, on the 50th anniversary of the film/concert “Pink Floyd in Pompeii”, which the Pompeii Archaeological Park is celebrating together with the TIM Group and Magister Art through a series of initiatives throughout 2022, Gino Castaldo and Ernesto Assante, renowned music critics with their “Lezioni di Rock” (an Elastica production) will lead listeners to the quadraphonic rediscovery of “The Dark Side Of The Moon” in the Pompeii Amphitheater.

In this extraordinary place in 1971 the English director Adrian Maben made a film/concert that went down in history, Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii, with the legendary band composed of David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Rick Wright performing behind closed doors, anticipating some songs from what would become the masterpiece “The Dark Side of the Moon” later released in 1973. Some parts of the work had in fact been inserted by the band and the director Adrian Maben in the documentary part of “Pink Floyd in Pompeii”.
