Portico di Caserta: The fire at the shoe factory has been extinguished. No one was injured, and the cause is still under investigation.
The operations to put out the flames that broke out shortly before 20pm yesterday inside a warehouse of a shoe manufacturing company, located in via Dalla Chiesa in the industrial area of the municipality of Portico di Caserta, continued until late at night.
The large fire produced a large column of black smoke that invaded the entire surrounding area, also involving the neighboring municipalities, with the flames that also threatened neighboring companies. To put out the fire, four teams of firefighters from Caserta arrived on site, one from the central headquarters of the Command, one from the Aversa detachment, a third from the Marcianise detachment and a last one from the Teano detachment; two tankers from the Caserta Command also intervened in support.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire and the causes are yet to be ascertained.
