The Artecinema Festival was born in 1996 with the aim of contributing to the dissemination of the various expressions of art, “a mission fully in line with the program of Procida Italian Capital of Culture, which has demonstrated in recent months how even the general public can be actively involved in cultural processes through the languages of contemporary arts – underlines Agostino Riitano, director of Procida 2022. The two contemporary art exhibitions recently inaugurated, Sprigionarti with works by internationally renowned artists from Fare a Kentrige and the exhibition The Tending of the Otherwise curated by the Biennale of young artists of the Mediterranean, have already been visited and appreciated by thousands of visitors.
