The 'Women's Stories' journey through Cilento continues with a new episode.
With a new appointment, at the Palazzo della Fondazione Matteo e Claudina de Stefano in Ogliastro Cilento, the journey of Storie al Femminile continues, the series of meetings dedicated to the pink authorial scene. Stories of rebirth and change, where women are the absolute protagonists of essays and novels very often set in the Cilento hinterland.
Starting at 19:9 PM on Saturday, July XNUMX, journalist Alfonso Sarno will present Terra, aspettami! Il felice ritorno al futuro, the new book co-written by Daniela Pastore and Tonino Scala, for Gutenberg editions. A modern ecological story that tells of a Milanese family that decides to change their lives and move to Cilento. The paternal home and the community they had left behind become their new lifeline to start living again.
Cilento, a fertile and welcoming land, home of the Mediterranean Diet and a World Heritage Site, is the right place to raise Mary, a teenager all iPhone and skateboard, to whom her parents want to pass on new values.
From here, she will learn that in small villages there are still strong and true human relationships, the natural and landscape beauties that fill the soul, the healthy and traditional cuisine, the slowness that leads to appreciating the little things. During the trip in the SUV, dad Aniello, a computer engineer who dreams of returning to work the land, and mom Claudia, a teacher determined to lead an eco-sustainable life, try to explain to their daughter the advantages of this choice. But to Mary it all seems very hazy, like the fog of Milan, until once they arrive she discovers how right her parents were.
If at first he saw only trees, then he notices the roots – those rare olive roots that, symbolically, represent the rooting in the land of origin that knows how to welcome, giving us back the past, which we need to build our future.
The preface is by Tommaso Amabile, President of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano Park Authority, who enthusiastically welcomed the release of this volume dedicated to Cilento, a land that has so much to tell, but also knows how to listen. Terra, aspettami is, therefore, an invocation that goes straight to the heart. The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, July 30, again at 19:XNUMX p.m., in the company of a new author.
