The night of Paestum lights up with School Movie Cinedù. Here are all the winners of the tenth edition.

The final was an extraordinary success.

Energy explodes. The little creatives are holding their breath, hoping that their short film will also be among the nominations for the victory of the coveted SCHOOL MOVIE CINEDÙ AWARD, the most famous Oscar night for children. Two extraordinary evenings, in the shadow of the Temple of Neptune that is the backdrop to the final of the film festival for children. A riot of colors and emotions at the Archaeological Park of Paestum. An enchanted world welcomed the 3 thousand baby directors and actors, among fairy tales, fairies, the magic hatter, Snow White, haunted apple trees, soap bubbles, stilt walkers, acrobats and baby dance. A moment of joy and lightheartedness, after the afternoon screening of the 150 short films produced at the former tobacco factory in Capaccio Paestum.

And, finally, the most awaited moment, the final awards ceremony, hosted by Enza Ruggiero, creator of School Movie Cinedù and Rosaria Sica, journalist and presenter.

The audience included institutions, mayors, representatives of the Province of Salerno and the Campania Region, teachers and managers of the 300 institutions involved in 60 municipalities, coming from all the provinces of Campania and the new entries Basilicata and Calabria.

“These were two fantastic days, intense, full of energy, I am happy to share these ten years of emotions with all the children and students of Campania, Calabria and Basilicata. I am satisfied – underlines Enza Ruggiero – tanti friends have graced the stage, whom I thank one by one for what they have brought to School Movie. Healthy energy and vivacity, cheerfulness, joy, lightheartedness: we need it. So much training, but also so much fun. All this would be impossible without the professionalism of Nicola Surace, at my side for the last 8 years. I thank the entire team that supported me in the organization with passion, enthusiasm and so much commitment. A special thanks to Tiziana D'Angelo, Director of the Park, for the hospitality and for the support of our event and obviously the municipal administration of Capaccio Paestum led by the mayor Franco Alfieri, who has believed in us for 10 years now”.

“Emotions” is the theme selected for the tenth edition, to talk about complex themes, from war to violence, to inclusion, to the recovery of ancient traditions, to the rediscovery of the most hidden places and historic villages.

Meanwhile, the Temple of Neptune lights up with cell phone lights during the performances of the guest rappers, from Geolier, to Tsunami, to Lele Blade, while the a cappella choirs start from the audience.

Many artists came to reward the little creatives: Alex Belli, Nancy Brilli, Pippo Pelo, Luca Abete, Alessandro Bolide, Gianni Parisi, Eduardo Tartaglia, Angelo Loia, Don Patrizio Coppola alias Padre Joystik, Pierluigi Iorio, Anna Nisivoccia. Special award dedicated by McDonald's to the creativity of children and Cinedù award also to Luigi Snichelotto, McDonald's partner Salerno and Potenza, for his commitment to supporting culture and initiatives for young people.

And again the selfies, the laughter, the children running onto the stage to collect the prize, their hands in the air jumping for joy and the pyrotechnic fountains for the big final party.

The director of the Campania Food Bank, Roberto Tuorto, also spoke to present the special prize for the commercial against waste, a great novelty of the 2022 edition. The selected commercial will accompany the Food Collection campaign, broadcast on Campania broadcasters from October to December.

The Dolcevita Contact Tour, curated by Armando Mirra and Pupi and Pupe Management, will also liven up the afternoons.
