SCHOOL MOVIE – CINEDÙ, the film festival dedicated to schools, celebrates its tenth anniversary.

Celebrates an important birthday SCHOOL MOVIE – CINEDÙ, the film festival dedicated to Schools created by Enza Ruggiero. Ten years of activity with the involvement of thousands of children from Schools, confirming itself as a point of reference for the Campania region and Southern Italy.

The final of the tenth edition, which enjoys the extraordinary patronage of the Senate of the Italian Republic, will be presented at a press conference on Thursday 7 July 2022, at 10.30:XNUMX am at the Salone Bottiglieri of the Province of Salerno.

An anniversary that wants to celebrate EMOTIONS, chosen as the leitmotif of the 2022 edition, as a hymn to life that is reborn, that explodes, after two years of pandemic, distancing, restrictive measures. Cinematographic art returns, thus, to school desks, in what is the first year of return to in-person teaching.

School Movie – Cinedù is, in fact, a great celebration of aggregation, of beauty, of emotions above all, which unfolds during the school year to allow the young students of the Primary and Secondary School of I degree to transform themselves into actors, directors, authors, directors of photography and to be able to express themselves and their world, through complex topics such as bullying or cyberbullying, happiness, dreams, joy, revisited through the cinematographic camera.

In this edition, more than 3.000 children are the absolute protagonists of the project, actors and creators of the story of the small and captivating film, with more than 150 videos produced, with the participation not only of the Municipalities of all 5 provinces of Campania, but also expanding to Basilicata and Calabria.

We have met others along the way, with an exponential increase in participants”.

Last year we experienced a unique emotion at the Temples of Paestum, this year we will try to outdo ourselves, with the same commitment to give children a memorable edition, full of wonder, of dreams. We want to create a magical moment that will remain among the most beautiful memories. School is also creativity, it is cinema, it is magic as well as training, because it teaches and offers children the tools to build their dreams, their future, their own life and we try to be part of it. On July 7, 2022, the program of the final will be made official at a press conference, which will take place over two days, July 12 and 13 at the Archaeological Area of ​​the Temples of Paestum, with surprises and guest stars, for the delivery of the CINEDÙ SCHOOL MOVIE AWARD, the prizes awarded by the jury for the best short films made by children of the Primary School and the students of the First Grade Secondary School. School Movie – Cinedù is also sustainability, with the special prize dedicated to the commercial against food waste.

Institutional representatives, the mayors of the network and some children representing the final classes will speak at the press conference and will tell the emotions and the experience lived with School Movie. In particular, the president of the Province of Salerno Michele Strianese, the director of the Archaeological Park of Paestum Tiziana D'Angelo, the Mayor of Capaccio Paestum Franco Alfieri, the Director of the Campania Food Bank Roberto Tuorto, the partner McDonald's provinces of Salerno and Potenza Luigi Snichelotto, the creator Enza Ruggiero will be present. The meeting will be moderated by the journalist and presenter Rosaria Sica.

School Movie was born in 2013 from an idea by Enza Ruggiero and is a production of the School Movie cultural association, with the patronage of the Senate, the Campania Region and the municipalities that passionately support the project.

Exceptional milestone: 100 thousand subscribers to the YouTube channel, awarded with the silver plaque directly from Youtube America. Millions of views on the videos. Social media are also becoming popular (Tik Tok with more than 200 thousand followers).

Among the partnerships Giffoni Film Festiva, which has remained a fixed point since the beginning. And also Banco Alimentare Campania, Cilento National Park, Vallo di Diano and Alburni. The 2022 final at the Temples of Paestum was preceded by 5 intermediate itinerant stops between Mercato San Severino, Sarno, Sapri, Serino, Capaccio Paestum.
