In the splendid setting of the Roman Amphitheatre of Avella (Av), the show “Carosonamente” will be on stage on Tuesday 12 July (starting at 21:00 pm with admission €5,00 + fees), an original tribute to the master of Italian song Renato Carosone.
The concert, included in the program of the new edition of the Avella Art Festival, will be the occasion to present live the new songs from the album, which gives its title to the show, published last month by the Arealive srl/Believe Digital label.
“Carosonamente” is played live by Peppe Servillo on vocals: Vincenzo Di Donna on violin; Luigi De Maio on violin, Gerardo Morrone on viola and Antonio Di Francia on cello and guitar.
“We laugh with songs, but not only that, Renato moves us, he is moved by looking with caressing irony at his bullfighters, Sarracini, Americans. Carosone thinks with affection of his people, with a simple humor, from below, without sarcasm, without power, without malice in his smile. He takes us far away, deliberately taking the wrong road, due to an unexpected musical and verbal error, we follow him hoping not to cause damage, maybe we dress up and we don’t recognize each other.” – declares Peppe Servillo.
