A fire broke out at a hotel in Sorrento. Police evacuated guests and put out the flames with the help of firefighters.
On Friday evening, officers from the Sorrento Police Station intervened at a hotel on Via Marina Grande in Sorrento where a fire had broken out in the kitchen.
The police officers, waiting for the arrival of the Fire Brigade personnel, after having evacuated the guests of the structure, headed towards the kitchen where they saw large flames coming from a fryer and, nearby, some gas cylinders.
The operators, despite a thick blanket of smoke and already high flames, managed to secure the cylinders by identifying the stop key of the gas pipes and, using the fire extinguishers present in the hotel, were able to put out the flames.
