The Rainbow calendar is packed with events for the next edition of the Giffoni Film Festival, the world's number one film festival for kids, which will be held this year from July 21 to 30. The two new animated productions by director and producer Iginio Straffi, Summer & Todd L'allegra Fattoria and Pinocchio and Friends, will open the show on Tuesday July 26, followed on Wednesday July 27 by the grand return of Winx Club, with two special events to celebrate the 18th birthday of the world's most beloved fairies, including an exclusive party reserved for their loyal fans who have followed them since their debut.
We start with the animated classic by Rainbow 'Summer & Todd The Merry Farm' broadcast every day on Rai Yoyo and which has conquered the Italian public in less than a year since its launch. It returns to Giffoni for an event dedicated to the little Giffoners of the Elements 3+ category, to involve them with fun activities and preview content.
Il 26th July starting at 18:30 pm, the Sala Lumière will host the viewing of three unreleased episodes of the series, interspersed with choral activities. It will be an opportunity to immerse yourself in the colorful and fun world of the Fattoria Raggio di Sole, where Summer and Todd guide children to discover the world around them, nature, agricultural production and environmental protection, with many fun stories full of educational themes.
The Giffoners +3 will then be pampered with a healthy zero-km snack, offered by Coldiretti Salerno – from the Petolicchio farm of Petolicchio Angelo – and Fondazione Campagna Amica, with which Rainbow has entered into a collaboration in order to promote educational content that helps the little ones develop their sensitivity towards food, the environment and nature. The “Campagna Amica Tour” initiative, which is stopping in many cities in Italy, falls within this perspective: the children, helped by the characters of the series, thus begin to learn the importance of certain themes such as the seasonality of products, the advantages of km0, and also food education itself and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Once again surprising the Giffoners of the Elements +6 category will be Pinocchio, the puppet protagonist of the hilarious adventures of the series Pinocchio and friends created by Iginio Straffi, which a few months after its debut is making children in Italy dream and fascinating the world, reaching an international audience. The 52nd edition of the festival will host the special event dedicated to the series on July 26 at the Lumière room at 12:30 and 16:30. Two unmissable events with the preview of two new episodes, but also a special backstage video "A day with Pinocchio" that will lead the young spectators to discover the many funny moments of Pinocchio together with his creator and the team that brought him to the limelight on TV.
The action-comedy adaptation of Collodi's classic is ready to conquer children's hearts once again: Pinocchio, along with his friend Freeda, the Talking Cricket, the Fairy and many other friends, will drag the audience into surprising adventures. Finally, this edition of Giffoni will see the great return of Winx Club, on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the most beloved fairies on TV.
Wednesday July 27th there will be two moments dedicated to the very affectionate fans, who have followed them since the beginning: they will be enveloped in the magical dimension of Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna and Aisha, and catapulted back in time.
The first appointment is set in Sala Galileo at 19:00 p.m., for the screening of some unforgettable moments from the first season (in a completely restored version): long-time fans will be able to return to Alfea to relive the most exciting scenes from the timeless classic that made the Winx icons of style and a source of inspiration. Participation in this exclusive viewing of Winx Club is reserved for all fans aged 16 and over.
The second appointment will be the big birthday party. This important milestone will be made unforgettable by a party of excellence, an unrepeatable opportunity for the fans of all time to celebrate 18 years of Winx Club.
In fact, starting at 21 pm in the Orange Garden, the loyal audience of the evergreen series will be able to take part in “2004: Back to Alfea”: the Winx night will light up for them, with music and magic, surprises and memories.
