Women's Stories in Cilento, Friday 29 July in Ogliastro Cilento.
From coast to coast, from the sea to the hinterland, at the Fondazione Matteo e Claudina de Stefano in Ogliastro Cilento, women's stories are told, where women are the absolute protagonists of gripping novels, many of which are set in the territory, to the point of characterizing their own lives.
An opportunity to discover the thousand faces of the pink author scene, in a space open to dialogue. Together with the journalist Alfonso Sarno, next Friday 29 July, at 19 pm, it will be the turn of Chiara Di Nardo, author of the book Percorsi: itinerari turistiche, storiche, culturali, ambientale ed enogastronomici nel Parco Nazionale del Cilento e Vallo di Diano (Albatros edizioni).
A work that proposes three tourist routes: cultural-archaeological aimed at those who are always interested in the historical aspect of each place, to observe testimonies of antiquity; the speleological-environmental for those who love nature and the environment and want to go on various types of excursions and observe the effect that time and water have had on nature; and, finally, the coastal one dedicated to those looking for clean and safe bathing places and also want to know its legends, to rediscover the stories of those who reached these shores.
All accompanied by those typical products and dishes that every Cilento village, large or small, can offer. The Cilento National Park is a treasure chest of wonders, an example of the harmonious integration between the work of man and the natural Mediterranean environment, which includes a great variety of landscapes a short distance from each other, such as a hilly or mountainous area a few steps from the waves of the sea, offering points of interest and itineraries suitable for a wide variety of tourists, divided by gender and connected to each other, in the various proposals combined with food and wine tours nearby, for those who want to enrich their baggage with the tasting of typical local products and dishes.
Born in Agropoli, Chiara Di Nardo graduated in Food and Wine Goods, and then specialized with a Master in Food Quality and Safety and a Regional IFTS Higher Technical course for the eco-sustainable management of typical food supply chains and food and wine tradition. Being very attached to her territory, Di Nardo felt the desire to promote and enhance it to the best of her ability, so, in 2020, through the Albatros publishing house, she published her expanded degree thesis in the form of an essay.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 10 August, again from 19pm, with the writer Elvira Morena.
