15 centaurs were caught riding bikes that in reality – given their maximum speed – are considered scooters in all respects. The sanctions concern driving without the use of a helmet, without a license plate, without a circulation certificate or insurance coverage. Seven of these were also found to be without the required driving license.
The 15 vehicles were seized and in total 51 fines were contested for a sum of 53 thousand euros. The checks will continue in the coming days.
