Palma Campania tragedy, technician assigned to verify the stability of the carousel

The pm Francesco Riccio, of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Nola, in charge of the investigations into the collapse of the carousel happened in via Quercia in Palma Campania and which caused 10 injuries, awarded the engineer Gerardo Mirabelli the task of carrying out a technical examination of the ride, verifying its structural stability, the reasons for the collapse and compliance with the regulations in force in the matter.

The engineer, before the assignment of the task, which will be formalized in the presence of all the parties involved next week, went to the site of the accident this afternoon, with the support of the Carabinieri of the Palma Campania Station directed by Lieutenant Max Nasti, For a first inspection and reconnaissance of the places and the carousel, also with the aim of photographically crystallising the actual state of affairs to avoid the possibility that traces useful for the investigation purposes may be lost.

In the meantime, the investigations continue, with the acquisition of all the technical documentation deemed useful by the Carabinieri. In the next few days, after the formal assignment of the task, in the presence of all the parties involved, the engineer will carry out in-depth investigations on the carousel and its structure, to identify the causes of its failure.

The Carabinieri also have some video of the moment of the collapse. The owner of the plant has been entered in the register of suspects with the hypothesis of culpable injuriesThe woman has already been heard by showing the test certificate and the insurance policy, documents that were mandatory to present at the Common to obtain permission.

The mayor, Nello Donnarumma explains: “I shared the dismay of my fellow citizens, then I followed the situation of the injured and we can at least breathe a sigh of relief since no one suffered serious consequences.
