The journalist from the newspaper told what happened. 'Hyenas' Giulia Innocenzi, who was on the carriage headed to Rome: “I am held hostage by Trenitalia” he wrote shortly before midnight. “I’m on train 724 from Salerno to Rome, I was supposed to arrive at 21.38:23.34 pm. It’s XNUMX:XNUMX pm and we’re still near Caserta.

The train was stuck in Naples due to a “line failure”. They gave us misleading information that made us stay on this train instead of getting on another. When we left Naples we realized that the train instead of going north had approached Pompeii, it stopped at an unknown station and changed direction.

No communication and not even a single controller who comes by and tells us anything. Obviously, we were not brought anything to eat or drink, my friend and I are gulping down the water we have left and freezing because of the air conditioning. A train that should have taken three hours will probably take six, and we passengers are left alone to our fate”.

The technical problems on the line continued throughout the night and only this morning at 7 o'clock did the green light come. A discomfort a very similar situation had occurred on the same line on Friday afternoon and on that occasion too the passengers were left without even a little water.
