Kills disabled uncle and runs away: arrested while waiting in line at Caritas in Naples. The man was found with injuries to his face and head.
Three weeks after the brutal crime, a turning point has arrived in the murder of Via Giardini. Octavian Montean, the 41-year-old accused of the murder of his uncle, 62-year-old compatriot Petru Montean, was arrested. Montean was found dead on the evening of July 1 in his makeshift home built in the locker rooms of the former sports field of Via Giardini, with wounds to his face and head.
The man, who had been in a wheelchair for some time after suffering a stroke, was found lying on the ground by his brother, who had gone to visit him as he often did. Initially it was thought to be a fall, but the autopsy performed today at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Caserta on the body of the 62-year-old revealed that the wounds were more compatible with an attack with a stick or blunt instrument.
The hypothesis followed so far is that the 62-year-old was killed by his nephew, who went into hiding after the crime. The 41-year-old was tracked down in Naples while he was waiting in line at Caritas.
