Litfiba with 'L'Ultimo Girone' at the Cervati Meeting 2022: Tuesday 30 August at the Villa Comunale di Sanza.
The LITFIBA concert will be the highlight of the Cervati Meeting 2022: on Tuesday 30 August Piero Pelù and Ghigo Renzulli will bring their music to Sanza (SA) at the Villa Comunale in Piazza San Francesco at the foot of the highest peak in Campania.
The Cervati peak will be the evocative backdrop for the only summer stop in Campania of L'ULTIMO GIRONE, the tour to celebrate 40 (+2) years of history and the farewell of LITFIBA, the longest-running and most appreciated rock band on the Italian music scene.
The tour, organized by Friends & Partners, is touching the most important festivals and summer events from north to south of the peninsula that will be the last opportunities for the LITFIBA audience to greet the band that made the history of rock in Italy. Tickets for the concert in Sanza - organized by the Municipality of Sanza with the collaboration of Anni 60 Produzioni - will be available from this afternoon, Tuesday 26 July, at 16 pm on the Ticketone.it and Go2 circuits and in the usual pre-sales.
As has already happened in other cities, in front of an enthusiastic and highly charged audience for over two hours Litfiba will bring a real journey through the 42 years of history of the group. PELÙ and RENZULLI (accompanied by Luca “Luc Mitraglia” Martelli on drums, Fabrizio “Simoncia” Simoncioni on keyboards and Dado “Black Dado” Neri on bass) have chosen to make visible the over four decades of history of the band in the scenography designed by Piero Pelù with four large “XXXX” that represent in Roman numerals the 40 years of Litfiba but also the great strength of their rock.
It was December 6, 1980, when LITFIBA performed for the first time in a club in Florence (the Rokkoteca Brighton in Settignano), giving the go-ahead in front of 150 people (who still remember Piero's dives from the stage) to an incredible musical story studded with hits such as "El Diablo", "Spirito", "Fata morgana", "Regina di cuori", "Il mio corpo che cambia" as well as many others (over 160 have been published in total over the years) that have told the story of Italy and the world, wars and pacifism, social commitment and environmental protection, support for victims of the Mafia and battles for human rights as well as love stories and deep human relationships.
Precursors like few others of rock sung in Italian, LITFIBA can boast of record successes with 10 million copies sold and thousands of concerts in Italy, Europe and the rest of the world. Few artists can boast of having faced, with such great success and perseverance, an apprenticeship and a long and tortuous path like that of music and its changes during these years, even more so if we are talking about rock, like Litfiba, the band still present today not only in the hearts of hundreds of thousands of fans but also in the hall of fame of Italian music.
2022 will be a year that LITFIBA fans and music lovers will not forget. Also thanks to the natural setting, the appointment in Sanza will certainly be an event not to be missed.
