Vico Equense: boom in visits, the exhibition “Salvador Dalí – 'Luce' The Treasures of the Master” extended until September 30th.
A new monumental work by the Catalan Master has been installed in one of the city's panoramic points
The exhibition “Salvador Dalí – 'Luce' I Tesori del Maestro” hosted in the halls of the Civic Museum of Vico Equense continues to attract the attention of tourists.
To celebrate the success of the exhibition, The Dalí Universe Foundation, which curates the exhibition under the artistic direction of Roberto Pantè, has brought new works from its museums throughout Europe that will be on display until September 30.
With these, a new monumental work has also arrived in Vico Equense, which has been placed in one of the panoramic points of the town. It is the Dance of Time created by Salvador Dalí in 1933. The work is 4,2 meters high and will be on display throughout the opening period of the exhibition. It is one of the most iconic symbols of Dalí and represents one of the main obsessions of the Catalan genius: the dilation of time and the consequent theories on its relativity.

“We are happy with the attention that the exhibition inaugurated during the Christmas holidays inside our Civic Museum is attracting. – declared the mayor of Vico Equense Peppe Aiello – Art and culture are tourist attractions on which the promotion of our territory relies, which is honored to be able to host the works of an artistic genius such as Salvador Dalí”.
“The one in progress in Vico Equense – commented the artistic director Roberto Pantè – it is an unconventional exhibition compared to the other exhibitions that we as Dalí Universe have set up in Europe and in the rest of the world, including in Naples, where in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore alla Pietrasanta we are currently hosting an exhibition dedicated to Spellbound, created by Dalí for Alfred Hitchcock for the film 'Spellbound'.
Dalí's goldsmith and jewellery production represents a truly unique aspect among his works and to these we have also added the art of Dalí the designer with clothes designed by great fashion designers inspired by the Master's works"
