Supermarket robbery in Vomero: 34-year-old arrested, hunt for accomplice. The robbery was carried out on May 16th.
This morning, in fact, the military personnel of the Carabinieri Company Naples Vomero executed an order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Naples, following investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples, which applies the precautionary custody in prison against a 34-year-old Neapolitan.
In the current state of the investigation, serious evidence of his guilt in the crimes of aggravated robbery, committed against the well-known "Ciro Amodio" supermarket in via Cilea in the Vomero district of Naples, in collaboration with a person who is still being identified, has been found.
The measure stems from a timely investigation conducted by the Operations Unit of the Carabinieri Company “Napoli – Vomero”, started last May, starting from the complaint of the supermarket owner.
A careful analysis of the images recorded by the video surveillance cameras of the market and along the escape route of the criminals, combined with the in-depth knowledge of the military regarding the "subjects of operational interest" and targeted house searches on their own initiative, have allowed us to fully reconstruct the story and outline the serious circumstantial framework in order to identify the suspect as the presumed perpetrator of the violent robbery committed on the evening of 16st May.
On that occasion, together with another accomplice who was being identified and with a gun in his hand, he made them hand over all the takings, fleeing on foot through the surrounding streets.
