The events will take place between the Macellum Temple of Serapis and the Villa Avellino Historic Residence

After a successful start, the first weekend of the IV edition of the Festival “Antichi Scenari – appuntamenti Flegrei d'arte in movimento” has arrived, organized by the association “Luna Nova” with artistic directors Carmine Borrino and Veronica Grossi, which will continue throughout the summer until September 11, 2022.

The project, in partnership with the Archaeological Park of the Phlegraean Fields, the Regional Park of the Phlegraean Fields, the Municipality of Pozzuoli and other neighboring Municipalities of the Phlegraean Fields, remains faithful to its artistic-eco-sustainable vocation and has scheduled shows, concerts and performances in the most suggestive and significant places in the area.

On Saturday 16th, at 18,30:XNUMX pm, it will be the turn of the “Loronero” concert with the orchestral direction of Francesco Manna at the “Macellum Tempio di Serapide”. The band, with its captivating music for the strong sense of rhythm, and engaging for the topicality of the themes covered (such as diversity, exploitation and racism), is the result of the project of Pino Ruffo, Sergio Gentile and Francesco Paolo Manna.

The typical musical con-tra(d)diction of the countries bathed by the Mediterranean merges with original and contemporary lyrics, bringing the ancient into the modern and vice versa, without interruption, like the cycle of life itself. Pino Ruffo (vocals, percussion), Sergio Gentile (guitar), Salvatore Brancaccio (bass) and Francesco Paolo Manna (drums, percussion) will play.

Sunday 17th, at 18,30:XNUMX pm, the first appointment with the theater will arrive, at Villa Avellino Residenza Storica, entitled “Mamma, Ma'!” (one-act play for a single actress) by Massimo Andrei directed by Gennaro Silvestro with Daniela Ioia. “Mamma, mà” is a look at the female world and the desire for motherhood that sometimes becomes an obsession, other times the awareness that time passes and we grow old.

A funny, dynamic, but above all, true story. The three projections of mothers, or aspiring ones, will find themselves facing a series of difficulties and small dramas, such as the various tests and medical visits to do for an insemination, or the rebellious character of a daughter who falls in love with a black man, or the desire to mock the passing of time with body care and aesthetics feeling on par with her children and their friends. Which mother will be our protagonist? What does the future hold for her? ... "Mamma, ma!"
