The Roman Amphitheatre of Alife opens its doors to the second edition of “Art & Cuisine in Arena”, 3 and 4 September
Preparations are underway for the second edition of “Arte&Cucina in Arena”, scheduled for September 3 and 4 at the Roman Amphitheater of Alife. After the success that went far beyond the organizers' expectations for the 2021 edition, this year's novelties are numerous and substantial. “Culinary art and local history intertwine in an event that aims to promote our artistic beauties and our excellent local products” This is what the organizers intend to do, a team led by Loredana Martino, artisanal pasta producer and Danilo De Cristofaro, cooking teacher and chef.
The Roman amphitheater of Alife dates back to the first decades of the 1st century AD. This small Colosseum was characterized by an oval-shaped arena in the center, inside which the famous gladiators performed. “Art & Cuisine in the Arena” will turn the spotlight on this monument of rare beauty that will be revived by hosting in the arena the typical local products expertly transformed for the occasion into tasty dishes.
Alife and its local history, made of monuments and food and wine excellences continues to fascinate everyone. A timeless beauty and goodness with great potential that can also be discovered on this unmissable occasion, thanks to mini tourist tours that will open each evening. Both evenings will also see the musical performance of the Caserta artists "A' Music 4et" and "Daudia", on stage respectively on September 3 and 4.
