I respected his choice”.

In that same period my brother-in-law MORMILE Vincenzo began to have problems in Frattamaggiore with the Pezzella of Cardito who wanted to take advantage of our absence, mine and that of MONFREGOLO Giuseppe, who had considerable importance, to take over Frattamaggiore and Frattaminore. Those threatening my brother-in-law were…omissis….
It was a group that basically wanted to take over the management of drugs with the support of …omissis… At that point my brother-in-law, still on the phone, informed me and I told him to ask for support from those in Arzano so that they would show up with him to make it clear that he still had the support of Arzano. MONFREGOLO Mariano, still on the phone, informed his brother MONFREGOLO Giuseppe, with whom I could no longer speak because he had been transferred to another section, complaining about the fact that they had to think about Arzano and could not go away to support MORMILE.
And Giuseppe supported him, telling him not to do it. In fact, he was even more opposed to giving this support. I experienced this as a lack of respect and consideration, also because during his time as a fugitive, MONFREGOLO Giuseppe had an argument with SCAFURO Girolamo, mainly over issues related to his ex-wife (arrested during the raid on April 25 and currently living with Giuseppe Monfregolo, ed.).
Giuseppe sent a shot to Scafuro's house door: as I have already reported. SCAFURO, with Antonio or Russo and another boy I don't know, took a Kalashnikov and introduced himself to the District 167, he stopped, without shooting but showing the gun, in front of the house of the MONFREGOLO's mother, he looked out GILARDI Pink, pregnant at the time, who reacted by throwing plant pots at him but also frightened because MONFREGOLO Mariano was in the street, probably hidden. After this episode she also lost her son.
The episode was told to me by MORMILE Vincenzo. MONFREGOLO Mariano, then, asked MORMILE for help and the group from Frattamaggiore went to Casavatore, at his mother's house where Scafuro was hiding, and he also shot at that house. MORMILE always told me, …omissis… and then the Arzano group. The Frattamaggiore group He had his own weapons but used those supplied by Arzano, to avoid having to carry them with him.
After this episode Scafuro Girolamo moved away permanently. I continued to have contact, even via video call, with MONFREGOLO Mariano who sometimes showed me that he was in Frattamaggiore, but in reality they only left ALTERIO Raffaele there. MORMILE managed to maintain management also thanks to the intervention of SAUTTO Nicola, who loves me very much, and for this reason, also through omission, made it clear that he supported MORMILE and stopped this initiative.
He was the one who also made me understand who was behind these guys but I was already angry with the MONFREGOLOs, after this signal I had received. I found a way to talk to Giuseppe while he was going to the soccer field. He continued to say that everything was fine and they were supporting MORMILE. I confronted him harshly, reproaching him for their lack of interest. At that point he took responsibility for the choice, saying that he had decided not to give support and said not to take it out on the brothers. He also apologized for this lack towards me”.
