Camorra, Antonio Carillo, the fugitive boss of the Pianura feud, arrested in Marano.
The Flying Squad and the San Paolo police station arrested Antonio Carillo, 31, in Marano, in the province of Naples. He is considered by investigators to be a leading member of the clan of the same name.
The 31-year-old had escaped a raid in the Pianura neighborhood of the capital, last July 14. Since then, investigators had been keeping an eye on the fugitive's friends and relatives. The police identified him and blocked him in a house: he did not resist and was not armed.
On July 14, in the suburbs of Naples, the Flying Squad, coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, served two separate warrants on suspects believed to be linked to the criminal group led by Carillo, nephew of the former boss now “repentant” Pasquale Pesce, and another against elements believed to belong to the Calone-Marsicano-Esposito clan, rivals of Carillo.
