Three people were hit and injured during the night between Sunday and Monday by a hit-and-run driver who was doing a wheelie on a high-powered motorcycle, according to witnesses, at over 100 km per hour on Via Caracciolo near the Snav piers. The motorcycle hit a girl who was crossing the road and who is now in serious condition at the Cardarelli hospital.
The speed was so high that the moped continued for over 500 meters. The girl who was behind the hit-and-run driver was also injured, and she suffered the least injuries of all. Both were without helmets.
The three injured were transported to the Ospedale del Mare, San Paolo and Cardarelli. Some witnesses who witnessed the episode that occurred at around 3.45:XNUMX on Monday reported the incident to regional councilor Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
