Monza, under house arrest asks to return to prison: he can't stand his wife. It's a Salvadoran couple whose cohabitation had become impossible due to the man's constant state of drunkenness.
A 41-year-old Salvadoran man with a criminal record for property and personal crimes was arrested by the Carabinieri in Seregno, in the province of Monza.
The 41-year-old, under house arrest serving a sentence for robbery, resisting a public official and causing personal injury, asked to be taken back to prison because living with his wife, a 45-year-old Salvadoran woman, had become impossible.
The strong conflict between the couple was exacerbated by the increasingly frequent state of drunkenness of the man, which was often followed by aggressive behavior, although without physical violence.
During the last heated argument the Carabinieri found the man drunk with a knife in his hand and threatening suicide. Once calmed down he then told the Carabinieri that he wanted to go back to jail because he could no longer stand his wife.
In light of the man's various behaviors characterized by a persistent state of drunkenness which often resulted in agitation and aggressiveness, the Carabinieri proposed to the Milan Surveillance Court the suspension of house arrest, which was decreed and carried out yesterday afternoon.
