Shock in Cava de' Tirreni, in the Badia-Ponte Vecchio area, where a female dog was found hanged in an illegal wild boar trap: the Carabinieri have started investigations.
The volunteers of the kennel led by Teresa Salsano and the Forestry Corps intervened on the spot. The mongrel dog, a large female, was hanging near a bramble.
The presence of a microchip was found, traceable to a sheep dog whose stable was a few minutes from the place where the animal was found. Unfortunately, the wounds were fatal. The carabinieri also contacted the magistrate who did not order the medical seizure of the animal, due to the advanced state of decomposition of the animal. The traps were seized, however.
