Ischia. Last weekend the officers of the Police Station of Ischia, with the support of the Campania Crime Prevention Department, have carried out an extraordinary territorial control service in the areas affected by the Ischian "movida" in the municipalities of Forio, Barano d'Ischia and Ischia, in particular on the Cristoforo Colombo seafront, in the Provincial streets Maronti, Porto, Roma, in Corso Vittorio Colonna and in the squares of the Heroes, the ancient Royal Palace and San Girolamo.
During the operation, 470 people were identified, 211 vehicles were checked, one of which was subjected to administrative seizure, and 28 violations of the Highway Code were contested for inappropriate speed, driving without a protective helmet, lack of insurance coverage, lack of periodic inspection, circulation of a vehicle despite the ban on disembarking for residents in Campania, use of a mobile phone while driving and a driving license was withdrawn for unauthorized overtaking.
Furthermore, the police reported 5 drivers for drunk driving and, at the same time, withdrew their driving licenses.
Finally, the operators checked 4 commercial establishments, sanctioning 3 of them, one for using non-biodegradable material and missing a blood alcohol meter, another for using non-biodegradable material, missing a blood alcohol meter and failing to display the prices of products intended for sale and the third for failing to display the SCIA (certified notification of commencement of business) for expansion.
