Checks in Ponticelli, approximately 200 identified and 121 vehicles checked.
Yesterday, the officers of the Ponticelli Police Station, personnel from the Municipal Police, the financial police of the Provincial Command of Naples and the Kites of the General Prevention Office, with the support of the Campania Crime Prevention Department and the canine units of the General Prevention Office, carried out an extraordinary territorial control service in the Ponticelli neighbourhood.
During the operation, 191 people were identified, 64 of whom had a police record, 121 vehicles were checked, 4 of which were subject to administrative detention and 5 to administrative seizure, and 19 violations of the Highway Code were contested for failure to display circulation documents, failure to use seat belts, lack of insurance coverage, driving without a license and lack of the requirements for driving vehicles and leading animals.
Furthermore, the police in Viale Miranda found and seized 4 marijuana plants and approximately 500 items of counterfeit clothing; again, in the same street, a 39-year-old Neapolitan was reported for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing because he was found in possession of 34 grams of hashish.
Finally, the operators in via Lombardi Vera checked the home of a man where they found, inside a purse, a Beretta 9x21 cal. pistol with 33 cartridges that turned out to be stolen and, therefore, they reported a 57-year-old Neapolitan with a police record for illegal possession of a firearm and receiving stolen goods.
