“In these days I have chosen to remain silent, despite the fact that the news of my exclusion from the List is in the public domain Campania 1 of the 5 Star Movement, in which I was a candidate. The reasons are found in my statements and positions, exposed on my private profile of a social network.
Well, those statements were made by a young girl. Today I am a woman, a lawyer, with a career underway, a cultural and professional path that has taken me far from what I was before. In addition, in recent years the Movement has changed completely, especially with the arrival of President Conte. Today, after years of study and passion and approach to politics, I can say that I am very far from those statements.
I want to clarify that I have never been a member of Forza Italia, I have never had a party card, because I have never shared any value with this political force. Precisely for this reason, I believe that one should censor one's past to avoid ambiguity and unclear situations. I firmly distance myself from my previous statements on Berlusconi, to forcefully reiterate my unconditional support for President Giuseppe Conte - my first choice because he is the people's lawyer.
However, I would like to point out that what happened does not authorize anyone to attack me, the people close to me and my family. I have received sexist and misogynistic comments of all kinds, serious insults that are having repercussions not only on me, but on those around me, who have nothing to do with all this. Political dialectic is one thing, the personal sphere and serious insults to a woman have nothing to do with politics. I therefore ask that this campaign of mud and hatred against me be put to an end” – This is what Claudia Majolo declared in a note.
