Appointment with great music, this evening at 21.00 pm in Piazza San Donato with Erasmo Petringa in concert for the Airola events of the 'Sentieri Aperti' project, promoted by the municipalities of Airola, Bonea, Bucciano, Moiano and Paolisi and financed by the Campania Region (with funds from the POC Campania 2014/20) and which will liven up the Caudina valley until the end of September.
THE ARTIST
Born in Airola in 1958, Petringa is an appreciated musician, multi-instrumentalist, arranger and conductor.
Graduated in Double Bass at the Conservatory of Naples "San Pietro a Majella", he later moved on to studying the cello but also plays the guitar and piano and string instruments mainly linked to tradition (chitarra battente, mandola, mandoloncello and calascione).
He recently released an album entitled «Sabir», in which he uses the oud, a traditional Arab instrument, with a Western technique and in an ethno-jazz key.
In 2008 he conducted the performance of the song «Grande Sud» by Eugenio Bennato at the 58th Sanremo Festival. He boasts collaborations with Peppe and Concetta Barra, Edoardo and Eugenio Bennato, Enzo Gragnaniello, Gigi D'Alessio and Claudio Baglioni.
In the theatre he had several musical collaborations including with Dario Fo in 2005 – which gave rise to the CD «Scià Scià» published by Rai Trade – and a performance in 1985 with Ray Charles on the programme «Blitz» hosted by Gianni Minà.
For some years he has been carrying out a popular music project, «Mediterranea Sound».
YESTERDAY LAST EVENT IN PAOLISI
The events of Paolisi for the project «Sentieri Aperti» ended yesterday evening – at the same time as the MevQuartet & Assurd concert in Airola.
The evening at the Villa Comunale was enlivened by the visionary theatrical show «Disintegrazione» by Elettroshock Therapy (EST) – with the musician Paky Di Maio, the actress Ilaria Delli Paoli and the visual art of Francesco Zentwo Palladino – an experimental project that investigates the boundaries of theatre and music through the visual arts and which has given life to hybrid performances not strictly linked to the consolidated schemes of art.
The evening will conclude with a Globalist DJ Set by Pier Paolo Polcari, founder of Almamegretta.
NEXT EVENTS
The Airola program – already enriched by the events organized by the city's Pro Loco on the occasion of the second edition of Airola Città – will close tomorrow evening with the concert of the Alessandro Tedesco Quartet in Piazza Vittoria at 22.00:XNUMX pm.
