Campania, more farewells in Forza Italia. The choices for the formation of the lists are contested
New farewells to Forza Italia in Campania, after the exit of the four outgoing parliamentarians who are not up for re-election (De Siano, Sarro, Pentangelo, Ferrajoli) who contest the line of the new regional commissioner Fulvio Martusciello.
In Lettere (Naples), Luigi Vuolo, municipal councilor and coordinator of the Forza Italia youth movement in the Stabiese-Monti Lattari area, and Maria Laura Del Sorbo, president of the City Council and city coordinator of the Azzurri, are leaving the party.
“We have taken on and accepted party roles after years of militancy but above all in reference to a territorial figure who has represented the needs of young people in the entire Stabia-Sorrento area – explain Vuolo and De Sorbo – but when our provincial coordinator informed us that he had not been taken into consideration for any position in the next round of elections, despite having established with us the largest youth group in all of Campania and a consistent group of militants and supporters of the party, the representation of our territory was lost”.
Gennaro Calabrese, Forza Italia group leader in the municipality of S. Antonio Abate (Naples) and Forza Italia Youth Coordinator for the province of Naples, is leaving Forza Italia.
“The candidacy affair – explains Calabrese – it is relative. What more than anything else pushed me to this painful but coherent decision was the regional management of the party, the lack of a comparison with the territories and the adoption of criteria that go beyond those of meritocracy, militancy and, I would say, common sense”.
Same choice by Evangelista Campagnuolo, municipal councilor of Sant'Agata de' Goti (Benevento), current regional vice coordinator of Forza Italia Giovani: “The absolute absence of a discussion on how to determine the principle of representativeness of the territories and in particular of the young militants of the party is truly intolerable.
It's a shame because even in Sannio, as in other provinces where I'm seeing a real exodus of friends from Forza Italia, we had worked very well by putting down strong roots in a territory that is now severely humiliated by the new Forza Italia leadership".
