I military personnel from the dependent Naval Station of Naples, together with personnel from the Port Authority - Coast Guard of Naples - PG Unit, during a state police service aimed at controlling the territory and combating the illegal occupation of the maritime state property, intervened in an area of 3.000 mXNUMX, forbidden to bathing, on which a bathing establishment with various equipment had been illegally set up, in the locality of Coroglio.
The operation, carried out at first light, ended with the seizure of various equipment against unknown persons, used for the setting up of illegal beaches, effectively clearing an area subject to a bathing ban.
Specifically, the operating military seized various equipment used for the setting up of beach establishments for a total of 200 deckchairs, 100 umbrellas, 80 chairs and 70 tables stacked in various points of the beach.
The seized objects were placed in judicial custody in a warehouse made available by the Central Tyrrhenian Sea Port System Authority, located within the port of Naples, awaiting clearance from the competent Judicial Authority for confiscation and subsequent destruction.
The service activity carried out by the Yellow Flames and by the military personnel of the Port Authority, which is part of a broader project to fight against illegal state-owned property along the Neapolitan coastal strip, has allowed us to stem the phenomenon of irregular occupation of state-owned maritime property and to protect honest economic operators in the sector, highlighting, once again, the daily commitment of the Naval Department of the Corps in full synergy with high-level State bodies.
