Death threats and attacks on business rivals: 3 under house arrest.
Yesterday afternoon, by delegation of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Naples, the State Police executed an order applying the precautionary measure of house arrest, issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, against:
1. RG, (cl.1965);
2. RS, (cl.1992);
3. PC, (cl.1977);
Charged, to varying degrees, with attempted extortion, aggravated personal injury, illicit competition with violence and threats and carrying objects capable of causing offence.
The investigative activities, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples and conducted by the local Flying Squad Police Headquarters, were started following a violent attack that took place on March 12th in S. Giorgio a Cremano by RG and RS against three individuals belonging to the same family unit (including a woman and an invalid), one of whom was seriously injured.
He was repeatedly and violently hit on the head with a baseball bat; which did not cause more serious consequences only thanks to the timely intervention of an off-duty State Police officer who disarmed one of the criminals. Then the victims were threatened with death by the criminals, with a gun.
The investigations started immediately established that the reason for the attack was to be found in the desire of the perpetrators to free themselves from the competition of the victims who carry out a similar commercial activity in the same territorial context.
Furthermore, it emerged that this violent act had been preceded by other similar ones, carried out through "ambushes" and always for the same purpose, which had taken place a few months earlier by RG and RS, in collaboration with PC, to the detriment of two of the three individuals attacked on 12 March.
