Music and theatre at the Campi Flegrei Archaeological Park

Art, ,, music e dance will animate Antro 2022, festival of the Archaeological park of the Campi Flegrei, from August 26th to September 11th between the castle di Bay, Archaeological park di Friday and submerged park di Bay, for a total of 19 events.

The second edition (August 26, Castello di Baia) will be opened by Ascanio Celestini, Roman actor, director, writer and playwright, with the show “Barzellette”; closing (September 11, Baia Submerged Park and Baia Castle) the suggestive event curated by the association Zip Zones, “The Harp”, which will see the harpist Kety Fusco perform his latest album playing on a floating platform on the submerged park of Baia, filmed by a drone and cameras that will send the footage in live streaming.

“With the second edition of our Festival the places of the Park will once again be filled with art, music and theatre”, explains Fabio Pagano, director of the Archaeological Park of Campi Flegrei. The varied program will see the event curated by the association in the Castello di Baia on Saturday 27 August Sergio Gaggia, “Der Wanderer” with the baritone Lars Gruenwoldt and the pianist Andrea Rucli in a lieder cycle of Franz Schubert.

On Sunday 28th August the Sicilian association Energie Alter-Native will stage “Il viaggio del meschino”, freely adapted from Il Guerrin Meschino by Gesualdo Bufalino with music, staging and direction by Miriam Palma. Monday 29 August at Castello di Baia, Michela Latini, professor of German Literature and Aesthetics at the University of Ferrara, will present the conference “Through Crossroads: Wandering as Destiny (from Kafka to Joseph Roth)”.

In the Archaeological Park of Cuma, on Tuesday 30 August the performance of art, literature, music and dance “I profughi di ieri e di oggi” will be held, curated by the Associazione Una città che. A festival within the festival from 1 to 5 September with the events of the second edition of FIRE, Festival Internazionale Rotta di Enea.
