Healthcare, the Single Administrative Accounting Information System completed in Campania.
In recent days, as recently communicated by President Vincenzo De Luca, the Single Administrative Accounting Information System (SIAC) of the Campania Region has been completed in Campania, which concerns all the companies of the regional health service. Campania is among the first regions to have done so.
This is an important result because the SIAC - in addition to the correct maintenance of general, sectional and analytical accounting - allows the centralized management and monitoring of expenditure and key variables for the governance of the regional health service; the uniformity of administrative-accounting processes in all Campania health companies necessary for the certifiability of budgets; real-time monitoring of accounting and extra-accounting and budget data of the regional health system.
Furthermore, the Single Administrative Accounting Information System (SIAC) of the Campania Region facilitates the streamlining of the administrative procedures necessary for the liquidation and payment of suppliers. In fact, payment times are already record-breaking in Italy as photographed by the latest report on the speed of payment for supplies of pharmaceutical companies for the second quarter of 2022 by Farmindustria.
“It comes to completion – declared Prof. Corrado Cuccurullo, President of SoReSa SpA – a complex and articulated project to create a large technological infrastructure that integrates 17 companies and the regional GSA. It will allow us to have homogeneous procedures and effective economic and financial control. I express great satisfaction for a truly enormous success and I want to thank all those – in SoReSa SpA, in the Region, in the Campania healthcare companies and our technological partners – cwith unparalleled competence, tenacity and commitment they have overcome all the obstacles typical of large and complex projects. With Sinfonia and SIAC, Regione Campania and SoReSa SpA – concluded Cuccurullo – they have created two modern technological infrastructures for a closer management of healthcare with more services and more innovation”.
Luca Scafa, Director of Monitoring of the Regional Health Service of SoReSa SpA, was keen to point out that "To realize the importance of the goal achieved today, we must necessarily remember that the Campania Region entered the mechanism of the Recovery Plans and in the subsequent periods of administration, also due to the lack of formalized and uniform administrative-accounting processes in our Health System, the significant payment times that afflicted our suppliers and the systematic failure to approve the budgets of health companies. For some years now, our companies – added Scafa – they have reached conditions of absolute excellence in the application of correct administrative-accounting procedures, through the development of the skills of the administrative operators of the Campania healthcare system and through the progressive activation of the SIAC, now finally present in all the Campania healthcare companies”.
