Starting on Wednesday 31 August, a series of Facebook and Youtube live broadcasts will discuss politics, road safety and give voice to victims
A war bulletin for the summer of 2022 on Italian roads. The accidents have increased by 12% compared to the winter months, every day there are 12 deaths and in the last weekend alone there were over 35 victims, including a four-year-old child. All this while the pain for the death of fifteen-year-old Giovanni Zanier, run over and killed by an American soldier in Porcia, in the province of Pordenone, was still fresh. On the very day of his funeral, last August 25, in Campigo, a hamlet of Castelfranco Veneto, in the Treviso area, 17-year-old Kevin Carraro was run over and killed by a car.
It is a massacre that no one is talking about. And not even politicians in the election campaign are taking an interest in it. Precisely to raise public awareness, give a voice to the victims and push the institutions to commit to road safety and change the law on road homicide, in order to guarantee justice that is such, the Unitary Association of Family Members and Road Victims ODV, the Italian Association of Family Members and Road Victims ODV and the Association of Courageous Mothers and Road Victims ODV have signed a protocol in defense of all road victims and will promote a series of virtual meetings on social networks to discuss road safety and give a voice to the victims and their families forced to serve a life sentence of pain.
