Three commercial activities seized and approximately 350 thousand euros in fines in the inter-force action day in the 'Land of Fires', in the municipalities of Maddaloni, San Marco Evangelista, Cervino and Valle di Maddaloni, in the province of Caserta and in Pollena Trocchia, San Giorgio a Cremano, San Sebastiano al Vesuvio and Massa di Somma, in the Metropolitan City of Naples.
The commitment of the women and men of the Italian Army and the police forces continues in the fight against illegal activities that produce and dispose of special, industrial and artisanal waste in the territory, often causing toxic fires for the population. In particular, the weekly action days have concentrated in the province of Caserta and Naples, leading also this week to the seizure and closure of illegal commercial enterprises.
On August 24, in the municipalities of Maddaloni, San Marco Evangelista, Cervino and Valle di Maddaloni, the intervention of the Army and law enforcement, supported by the territorial agencies involved in combating environmental crimes, allowed the control of 3 businesses, of which 2 were seized and the identification of 8 people, of which 2 were reported. Fines of 278 thousand euros were also issued.
For the control and verification of the sites identified by the specialists of the Italian Army and the ROAN of the Guardia di Finanza through tools operating in the third dimension and those identified by the Police Headquarters of Caserta and Naples and by the Local Police, 5 crews were employed, with a total of 14 women and men of the Italian Army based on the 3rd Bersaglieri Regiment, with units of the Carabinieri, State and Municipal Police of Maddaloni, Territorial Guardia di Finanza of Marcianise, Provincial Police of Caserta and officials of ASL and ARPAC of Caserta.
On August 25, in the municipalities of Pollena Trocchia, San Giorgio a Cremano, San Sebastiano al Vesuvio and Massa di Somma, the intervention to combat environmental crimes allowed the control of 6 businesses, one of which was seized, and the identification of 7 people, one of whom was reported. In addition, 1 people were sanctioned for administrative offenses, with fines quantified at over 2 thousand euros.
For the control and verification of the sites, 5 crews were employed for a total of 13 women and men of the Italian Army based on the 3rd Bersaglieri and 19th Cavalleggeri Guides, with units of the Metropolitan Police of Naples, decisive on the occasion, the State Police of San Giorgio a Cremano, the Carabinieri of San Sebastiano al Vesuvio and San Giorgio a Cremano, the Guardia di Finanza of Portici and Casalnuovo, the Municipal Police of Pollena Trocchia and San Sebastiano al Vesuvio and officials of the Central Inspectorate for the Repression of Fraud (ICQRF).
