Vico Equense. Beats grandfather and uncle for money: 28-year-old drug addict arrested.
The Carabinieri of the Vico Equense station arrested a 28-year-old Vico native already known to the police for personal injury and trespassing.
The military – alerted by the operations center – intervened in a house in the city center where a violent assault was in progress. The young man had entered the house of his grandfather and uncle and after receiving a refusal to the umpteenth request for money, he began to destroy furniture and objects in the house. The relatives tried to calm him down but the 28-year-old also attacked them with kicks and punches. All under the terrified gaze of some children who were in the house.
The violent assault continued until the arrival of the Carabinieri who, with no small amount of difficulty, stopped the 28-year-old and handcuffed him.
The young man is now awaiting trial while his grandfather and uncle had to seek medical attention. The 28-year-old's uncle fared the worst and was diagnosed with lacerated contused wounds all over his body with a prognosis of six days' recovery.
