Engines off for five minutes. This is the initiative of Air Campania, at the instigation of Administrator Anthony Acconcia, to ask for greater attention to the issue of the continuous attacks of which the front line staff of the local regional public transport company are victims.
In these hours the company has also already started contacts with the trade union organizations to define the details of the event which next week will see the entire fleet stop for 5 minutes.
The decision after the last attack on an operator recorded yesterday evening in the Neapolitan area, the sixth since the beginning of the year.
The events occurred in Melito di Napoli.

The man got out of the car and after verbally attacking him, armed with a metal tool he struck the driver's window, shattering the glass. He then returned to his car and disappeared. The operator sought medical attention. The regional company expressed closeness and solidarity to the driver.
"Enough is enough. We need concrete measures. The episodes are repeated almost daily. We will do our part by increasing controls. But to discourage these criminals and put a stop to the continuous attacks on our employees, a greater use of the Police Force is necessary to support the TPL staff both at the main terminals and in those areas where these phenomena are recorded with greater frequency.
It has become a question of public order and security, which is why in the next few days we will also ask for a meeting with the Prefects", declared the Sole Director of Air Campania, Anthony Acconcia.
