Councilor Giuseppe Vitagliano wins. With an order published on September 12, the Campania Regional Administrative Court rejected the request for a stay filed by the appellant, the "Matilde Serao" Association, challenging the decision by which the Municipality of Arzano, last July, had terminated the contract for the assignment of the confiscated property on Via Annunziata and its subsequent return to the Authority, due to a series of contractual breaches committed by the association in the performance of the contract.

“We continue to proceed along the path of legality – they specify from the New Generations association - . The TAR, although in the precautionary phase, but with motivation that also focuses on the merits of the appeal, gives reason to the work of the Heritage office, which, following the indications of the administration and, in particular, of the relevant councilor Vitagliano, continues the path traced by the extraordinary commission, aimed at the municipal recovery of confiscated assets not correctly managed by the assignees, with procedures that, compared to the past, however, receive the seal of legitimacy also from the justice bodies".

The start of the revocation procedures had started following the dissolution for Camorra that took place in 2019 and an investigation by the prefecture had also intervened on the issue, which had identified several inconsistencies in the management of the assets, also reporting the matter to the Ministry of the Interior. The revocation of the “Matilde Serao” follows by a few months that of the Associazione dal Basso which, after the notification of the start of the procedures, voluntarily returned the keys to the structure.
