The municipality of Naples is ready to clean the median axis in the Scampia area: updates in the Environment commission.
The Naples City Council's Environment Commission, chaired by Carlo Migliaccio, discussed the situation of the Scampia Roma camp with City Planning Councilor Laura Lieto and Environment Councilor Paolo Mancuso, as well as the necessary interventions to complete the Scampia road axis in the same area. This area suffers from severe social, health, and legal hardship, particularly for students at the Galileo Ferraris school complex, located immediately adjacent to the camp, and is the first time this has been the subject of an integrated project.
The first step is to remove the waste that has accumulated over the years, which will be achieved thanks to a fund already funded at 7 million.

The integrated planning also includes the demolition of Lot P, subject to asbestos pollution, and its replacement with sustainable buildings, for which the Municipality is expected to rely on funding from the Metropolitan City and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
During the debate, which included Councilor Rosario Andreozzi, the headmaster, and the president of the Galileo Ferraris school board, the need for a shared planning of the redevelopment projects with local committees and associations emerged. A request was made to ensure the area was monitored so that, once cleared of waste, it does not revert to a landfill.
