The futuristic Avellino bus station has been inaugurated. Ribbon cutting today, Wednesday 7 September in the presence of President Vincenzo De Luca.
Covering twenty thousand square meters, located in the center of the capital and adjacent to the area representing the future vision of the city of Avellino, it is equipped with twenty-four bus parking spaces and will officially begin operations in the coming weeks. The new bus station cost €28 million to build, €12 million of which was financed with regional funds.

The bus station features a shopping mall with over fifty shops and a company nursery. Air Campania CEO Anthony Acconcia said: The city of Avellino and the entire province deserved to have this long-awaited bus station. This hub will be a strategic hub for urban and suburban mobility, as well as playing a key role in passenger flow. The challenge now shifts to a new concept of mobility, understood as improving the quality of life. To achieve this, we must continue to raise efficiency standards. To do so, we need a paradigm shift, putting the citizen at the center. We will continue to do our part.
