Also included is the "repentant" Daniele Pandolfi - the designated victim of an ambush in Napoli one tragic evening in 2016 and instead cost the life of a friend of his who had nothing to do with the Camorra - among the two collaborators of justice that the Court of Assizes of Appeal of Naples (IV section) will hear on October 13th, in the New Parthenopean Palace of Justice.

The judges have ordered a renewed preliminary hearing, which will include the examination of two witnesses already heard in the judicial proceedings into the death of Antonio Bottone, a 20-year-old man (whose family is being represented by lawyer Sergio Pisani) believed to be unrelated to the Mafia, who was shot in the head by hitmen during the ambush on the evening of November 6, 2016, outside a bar in the Colli Aminei district of Naples.

The real objective of the raid, according to the investigators, was precisely Pandolfi, believed to be linked to the Vastarella crime family, who was injured in the ambush. Bottone's murder and the attempted murder of Pandolfi were apparently decided within the context of the feud between the Vastarella and Sequino clans, to which the person identified in the first instance as the killer, 37-year-old Enrico La Salvia, is believed to belong. However, in July 2021, La Salvia was acquitted of the charges brought by preliminary hearing judge Anna Tirone "for not having committed the crime."
