The new guide on the regional museum heritage “Campania, sanctuaries as museums”, created by the Terre di Campania Pas Association, will be presented on Wednesday 21 September, at 18,30:XNUMX pm, at the cultural laboratory “Campania, beauty of creation” hosted in the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell'Arco di Sant'Anastasia (NA).
Terre di Campania, committed since its foundation to the realization of concrete projects of territorial valorization and promotion, has intended to dedicate this new publication to a selection of museums in the Campania region characterized by the particularity of being hosted inside Sanctuaries.
May these sacred places welcome, within their walls, examples of human virtue and stories of saints and blesseds, of men and women who have left a profound mark on the history of our land and the people who inhabit it.

Six museums, with the relative sanctuaries that host them, are included in the volume: the Ethnohistorical Museum of the Campanian people in Somma Vesuviana, the Museum of the Monumental Complex of San Vito A Marigliano, the Diocesan Museum of Pompeii, the Museum of Ex-voto in Madonna dell'Arco, the Gerardino Museum of San Gerardo Maiella in Caposele and the Confalone Museum of Sacred Art in Maiori.
The publication “Campania, sanctuaries as museums” not only intends to present the history and characteristics of the sacred places and the museum heritage preserved within them, but also aims to arouse a deeper interest in the territory on which the selected museums are located.
“Campania, sanctuaries as museums” therefore aims to be a tool that invites us to observe the local tourist offer from a new perspective, broadening, through some peculiar places and museums, the focus on the entire panorama of riches of our region. The publication will also be available in the audio guide format, downloadable free of charge from the website www.terredicampania.it.
Anita Florio, Director of UOD 50.12.01, will speak at the presentation event. The initiative is supported by the Campania Regional Council - General Directorate 50.12 "Cultural Policies and Tourism" Management Operational Unit 01 "Promotion and Enhancement of Museums and Libraries" (Management Decree No. 91 of May 20, 05).
