The mayors of Campania are multiplying the ordinances to close schools for tomorrow, even those that are not polling stations.
From Afragola, to Giugliano, passing through Ischia and then in the Salerno area in almost all the municipalities of AgroNocerino and also in the lower Cilento as in Sapri. In short, it is a race to avoid chaos and inconvenience with the new storm expected for tomorrow throughout Campania.
Today many inconveniences also in Giugliano due to the exceptional wave of bad weather. Mayor Nicola Pirozzi has issued an ordinance with which he orders, for tomorrow, the closure of all schools of every order and grade in the city. Both in the center and on the outskirts there have been floods, trees fallen due to the wind, electricity interrupted in several places.
"Dozens of interventions have eliminated all the reported problems," Mayor Pirozzi commented , "with the exception of that part of the coastal area where the chronic lack of sewer systems has made it impossible for many of our fellow citizens to even leave their homes to vote. On Thursday, the city council will vote on the implementation of the Sogesid project for the construction of sewer systems on Via Nullo, Via Grotta dell'Olmo, and Via Madonna del Pantano, so that that part of the city can finally be livable again."
"I want to thank the manager, the local police, and all the municipal employees and maintenance companies who have been working tirelessly since this morning to repair the damage caused by the storm," the mayor continued . "I know we must remain vigilant and that there is still much to do. Decades-old problems can't be solved in a single day, but every single day can be important in improving our city. My commitment to this will never waver."
